Our annual fundraiser is called the Easter Keg Hunt. This is a fun activity in which participants 16 years and older pay a small entry fee to participate in a scavenger-type hunt in and on the outskirts of Springfield, MO, searching for a small keg. Participants are given riddles to find the first “stop” and at each stop, they are given the riddle for the next stop.
At each stop participants hunt for the keg and there will also be easter eggs hidden, which have tickets that are linked to prizes they will collect at the end event location. The end event will have food, drinks, a live band, raffle items, silent auction items, Jumbo Jenga, and Cornhole, etc.
Proceeds from our fundraiser goes directly to our nonprofit to aid in our program to bring greater Christmas joy to local less fortunate children and their families.
We contact elementary schools in the Ozarks, for a list of children on their free/reduced lunch program and adopt these children and their families to provide custom items, (from their wish lists), of clothing, like coats, shoes, socks, etc., and we always include a few Christmas gifts! A local sponsor provides a Christmas meal for each family that we adopt. We are also developing a program to help the parents of the children with basic needs such as clothing and food as well.
For this event, we are seeking volunteers, (16 years or older), to help with: Registration, Managing Stops, Selling Raffle Tickets, Managing Raffle/Auction Tables, Selling Meal Tickets, Managing Games, Setup/Breakdown tables and chairs, and more.
