Join Us in Making a Difference – Volunteer at The Salvation Army Food Pantry
At The Salvation Army, we believe that no one should have to face hunger alone—and with your help, we can turn that belief into action. Our Food Pantry serves individuals and families across Greene and Christian Counties, offering essential pantry staples, household goods, and a warm welcome to those in need.
Each week, we distribute items like shelf-stable groceries, bread, cereal, frozen meats, and more. But this vital work wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and compassion of volunteers like you.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
Assisting clients as they shop
Stocking shelves and organizing inventory
Greeting and checking in shoppers
Packing bags with food and household essentials
Creating a friendly, supportive environment for all who walk through our doors
Pantry Hours:
WednesdaysMorning Shift: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Afternoon Shift: 12:45 PM – 2:30 PM
Whether you can serve once a week, once a month, or just now and then—your time and presence make a real difference. Volunteers are asked to arrive a few minutes early and enter through the maroon double doors on the northwest side of the building.
Come be a part of something bigger. Join us in feeding hope and nourishing our community—one neighbor at a time.
If you’re ready to serve or would like more information, we’d love to hear from you!
