Ongoing Opportunity Categories: Children and Youth, Education and Literacy, Environment, and Parks and Recreation
As a Watershed Natives Volunteer with the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks, you’ll have the opportunity to help us grow native plants at Valley Water Mill Park, a 100-acre nature park located just north of Springfield. You can be a part of each step in the process- harvesting seeds from wildflowers at our park, sowing and propagating seeds from all over Missouri, caring for tree saplings, as well as learn pruning and general care! Many of the plants you grow with us will be used on habitat restoration projects all over the region.
In addition, you could have the opportunity to work with students as they learn how to grow plants of their own and the importance of growing native species! All training is free!
