The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management is in urgent need for volunteers! The Public Information Call Center is very busy and in need of volunteers to help match callers in need with those who can help. Contact Ronnie Bell at 417-872-6720 if you are willing.

Volunteer Opportunity:
Join staff from Greene County, the  City of Springfield, neighborhood associations and other volunteers to support storm recovery efforts in Springfield and Greene County.
Check-In Location:
Macedonia Baptist Church
3110 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, MO
Volunteer Reception Center Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
All volunteers must check in at the Volunteer Reception Center to be officially registered before entering cleanup areas. Once registered, you’ll receive a quick safety briefing and be assigned to a cleanup site.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a valid Missouri driver’s license
- Wear long sleeves, pants, closed-toe shoes, and work gloves
- A current tetanus shot is strongly recommended
BYOT…Bring your own tools (rakes, chainsaws, pole saws, etc.). Limited personal protective equipment may be available, but come prepared with gloves, eye and hearing protection.
We’ll evaluate needs for Sunday operations and announce updates as available. Feel free to stop by during open hours—even a few hours of your time will help!
