CBCO is a non-profit organization and the exclusive blood provider for 41 hospitals in 40 local counties, including the Mercy and Cox hospitals.
There are several ways you can help our mission:
Voluntarily donate blood by making a donation appointment at www.cbco.org.
Volunteer to assist blood donors with refreshments. To apply, contact Lori McLerran by email at [email protected], or by phone 417-227-5396.
Be an advocate for our important community program. To “Take Action” as an organization, visit our web site at http://www.cbco.org/host-a-drive/.

Requirements & Commitment: To be a volunteer with the Ozark Action, Inc Head Start/Early Head Start Program are required to complete and pass background screenings. Please contact your local HS/EHS for further information on requirements.Head Start programs welcome volunteers! You can help in the classroom and on field trips, assist in center maintenance or yardwork, to just name a few ways to volunteer. Great way to make a positive impact! You can volunteer by folding t-shirts or assisting donors with a snack and beverage. Or if you want to donate that makes a great difference too!! Blood donors are among the healthiest segment of the population – and the nicest in my opinion!
