Ongoing Opportunity Categories: Arts and Culture and History
The History Museum on the Square is committed to building and preserving an extensive collection of historical documents and artifacts, as we share stories of the crossroads to engage, educate, and inspire our diverse audience. We strengthen our community’s future by learning about our past and our culture.
Museum Volunteers have the unique opportunity to help tell Springfield’s stories in the museum’s galleries. Volunteers do not need to have prior knowledge of local history. We provide training sessions throughout the year to encourage continued learning among volunteers and the public. With visitors coming to the museum from around the world, this is an exciting volunteer opportunity to share knowledge and connect with visitors to Springfield.
