🌟 Join Us in Making a Difference! Volunteer at Safe to Sleep Women’s Shelter! 🌟
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to those in need? Do you want to make a tangible difference in the lives of women facing homelessness? Safe to Sleep Women’s Shelter warmly invites you to become a vital part of our dedicated team of volunteers.
Every night, from 7:30pm to 7:30am, Safe to Sleep opens its doors to provide a safe and supportive environment for women experiencing homelessness. Our overnight shelter offers more than just a place to sleep; it provides warmth, security, and a beacon of hope for those who need it most.
We are currently seeking compassionate individuals who are willing to serve as overnight volunteers. Whether you can commit to the full shift from 7:00pm to 7:30am or the later shift from 10:00pm to 7:30am, your presence will make a significant impact. As an overnight volunteer, you’ll provide essential support by ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests throughout the night. And to ensure that our volunteers remain well-rested and alert, we offer a 4-hour sleep break during the overnight shift.
Additionally, we are in need of volunteers to provide nourishing meals for the women staying at the shelter. Soft foods and fresh fruit are particularly appreciated, as they offer comfort and essential nutrients to those we serve.
Please note that all volunteers are required to undergo a background check and will receive thorough training prior to their first shift. Your safety and the safety of our guests are of utmost importance to us.
By volunteering with Safe to Sleep, you’ll not only be making a positive impact on the lives of women experiencing homelessness but also contributing to a community of care and compassion.
Thank you for considering joining us in our mission to provide warmth, shelter, and support to those in need. Your kindness and generosity will truly make a difference in the lives of others.
Volunteers spend the night and sleep in shifts–most volunteers report getting about four hours of sleep each night they serve. Women and couples are allowed to serve.
