SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The American Red Cross of Southern Missouri is calling on your help to volunteer right now.

Since the start of the pandemic, the local nonprofit chapter has noted dwindling volunteer numbers. Daniel Posey talked to Executive Director, Stacy Burks, about the most important roles needed today. Mark Pon, a volunteer of two years, also joined Stacy in explaining what volunteering looks like and how far in the country it can take you.

You can find a current list of opportunities with The American Red Cross of Southern Missouri on Volunteer Ozarks, or by clicking here.

Also, March 4-8 is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Missouri. The American Red Cross has plans available to keep you and your family safe, which you can find here.
