SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A West Plains based nonprofit is helping make the birthdays of kids in foster care a little more special.

Daniel Posey talked to Shannon VonAllmen, Executive Director for Birthday Blessings, about how this organization collects items then delivers them to children in foster care. The nonprofit works with agencies such as CASA to get wish list items from kids, tailoring each gift to each child.

VonAllmen also explained an anonymous donor will match up to $5,000 in donations from April 1 through April 5 this year.
